Project Director – Electrical Location: Melbourne Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are looking for an accomplished Project Director to lead the successful delivery of major Wind and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia. This is a senior leadership role suited to someone with deep technical expertise, strong commercial acumen, and proven experience managing complex renewable energy projects through the full development and delivery lifecycle.Based in our client’s Melbourne office with site travel as required, you will play a central role in driving project outcomes, strengthening relationships with developers and OEMs, and ensuring seamless integration across all technical, commercial, and delivery interfaces.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full lifecycle delivery of Wind and BESS projects, from early development through to commissioning and handover.Oversee project planning, cost control, risk management, and quality assurance.Act as the primary technical and delivery lead, ensuring effective integration across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, OEMs, contractors, and internal stakeholders.Provide strategic project leadership.Manage and mentor project teams, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and industry standards.About YouDegree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) with significant experience in the renewable energy sector.Demonstrated track record delivering utility-scale Wind and/or BESS projects within Australia.Strong integration expertise, particularly in coordinating with developers and OEMs.Exceptional stakeholder engagement, commercial awareness, and leadership skills.Ability to manage complex project structures and multi-disciplinary teams.
