At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, and change, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.We are currently looking for a Project Director to join our M-Renewables team, in Sofia, Bulgaria.Your role will encompass:Provide overall leadership, direction, and decision-making for the PV park construction projectDefine project objectives, timelines, milestones, and performance indicators aligned with company strategyEstablish governance structures for project execution, reporting, and controlOversee detailed engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activitiesManage the EPC contractor, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure contractual, technical, and safety complianceMonitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations; implement corrective actions when neededEnsure seamless integration of civil, mechanical, electrical, and grid connection worksManage overall project budget and cost control, ensuring financial performance meets business case targetsReview and approve major contracts, purchase orders, and change ordersMonitor cash flow, cost forecasts, and claims management with contractorsPromote a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture across the projectEnsure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and safety standardsOversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes during all project stagesDrive continuous improvement and zero-incident performance on siteLiaise with government agencies, local authorities, utilities, and regulatory bodies for permits, inspections, and approvalsManage relationships with investors, landowners, community representatives, and grid operatorsEnsure transparent communication and reporting to all project stakeholdersLead a multidisciplinary project team, providing mentorship, motivation, and performance managementFoster collaboration across engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and legal teamsEnsure effective communication, alignment, and coordination among internal and external stakeholdersOversee project testing, commissioning, and performance verification in coordination with technical teamsEnsure all systems meet design specifications and grid requirementsLead final handover to operations and maintenance (O&M) teams with full documentation and trainingWhat you bring to the role:University Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Civil Engineering10+ years experience in Project Management and 3 years experience in similar positionDemonstrable experience in managing more than one energy related projects in parallelMSc or MBA will be considered an assetExcellent use of English LanguageExcellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Advanced use of Microsoft Project/PrimaveraLeadership and negotiationCommunication and Negotiation skillsShare the same Value Based Behaviors:People & Personal growthResults orientation & Safety excellenceCollaboration & TrustEmpathy & Effective communicationFlexibility & AdaptabilityYour Benefits:Competitive remuneration packageMedical Insurance programMulti Sport CardFood vouchers25 days annual leaveCooperation, creativity and innovation: we adopt flexible cooperation models to achieve fast results and increased productivityFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest newsWe respect your personal data.
