Job DescriptionPositionProject Engineer – Fixture DesignTeam/DivisionUnderground Division Reporting toManager Design Services- URENo of Positions1Job Description:Design and develop machining fixtures, jigs, and tooling for CNC and manual machining operations.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to understand requirements and constraints.Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks, CATIA).Perform tolerance analysis and ensure fixture designs meet dimensional and functional requirements.Support fixture fabrication, assembly, and validation on the shop floor.Continuously improve existing fixture designs for better performance and cost-effectiveness.Maintain documentation and design records in accordance with company standards.Work on PDM/PLM systems associated with engineering release processes & systems Maintain Project documents as per ISO proceduresPerforming\checking BOM changes and ECNsSelf-checking and presenting the work for internal and external reviewsValue addition and suggestions for improvements as applicableInteraction with customers and colleaguesFollowing the design procedures, instructions and standards Addressing the customer queries and handling customer feedback Performing internal reviewsOnsite support during proto-typing and testingReporting to the Manager\Project Leader in a timely and efficient mannerComplying to company policies and following company values and business code of practiceExperience Requirements:3-5 yrs. of experience – Machining Fixture Design and interaction with production team Education:BE / BTech / GT&TC Diploma – Mechanical/Tool DesignHands on Experience in Creo or any other 3D CAD toolExperience working on PLM systemsKnowledge Requirement:Good foundation knowledge in engineering mechanics, and physicsGood knowledge materials and heat treatment.Knowledge of ISO and ASME GD&T standards Modelling and detailing using any 3D CAD tool.Some working experience related to manufacturing processes and knowledge on how CNC machines work.Experience on the shop floor and interaction with the production team for fixture trials and troubleshooting.Preparation & release of BOM and Engineering change management.Personality Requirement:Enthusiastic, positive-minded and able to work well in an international client environment Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills Self-starter and goal orientedAttention to details and strong sense of responsibilityTeam player - open-minded and flexibleA curious mind and love to learnIt all starts with people.
