Project Engineer

该职位来源于猎聘 Project Engineer Play a role of the technical interface between internal team & external customers regarding the technical issue (design, process, quality, and material etc.) of tooling and products (plastic, rubber and metal components). Major Responsibility:Technical support the team such as purchasing and supplier chain of each new business enquires or projects from design stage to production, provide technical advice to external customers or partners on feasibility analysis or review of product design.Manage tooling projects from tool feasibility studies and DFM review to tool trial（attend tool trial if necessary）, off-tool samples delivery, assist in quality inspection, follow up timing plan and manufacturing progress in the meantime.Ensure smooth technical communication with suppliers, clearly delivery any technical related information from UK headquarter to suppliers of each project, translation on technique documents if required.Keep timely contact with UK team about the status of different stages of the assigned projects, coordinate and assist any technical problems during the manufacturing of tooling or plastic and metal parts, whenever possible. *Skills and Qualifications:Degree or above in Engineering or Mechanical background; Tooling, control engineering or material forming major related, specialization in automotive engineering is a plus.Familiar with automotive engineering and quality management system IATF/16949 and automotive core tools - APQP/FMEA/MSA/SPC/PPAP.Good team spirit, communication, coordination, and technical skills, highly proactive and responsible, and fluent in English.Willing to frequently travel to factory site to review design feasibility, investigate quality concerns, and support in supplier audit process, etc., have strong on-site technical support capability and good understanding in molding process of plastic and metal parts, and be able to solve related problems timely.Experience:Above 3- or 5-years experiences in design or tooling project management, or background in mechanical, automation or industrialization, preferably in injection molding or tooling technical role.Good experience on using design software such as CATIA, UG, and Pro-E/AutoCAD/Solidworks, etc.. possess capability of manipulating 3D design Software together with the supplier to input suggestion on design changes if any or study on feasibility improvement.Have working experience in international environment, who knows dealing with foreign business or managing export trading projects, automotive industry background will be preferred.Familiar with tooling structure and manufacturing process, good knowledge in tooling acceptance and management, at least 3 years’ experience in tooling or injection molding, machining, stamping, die casting, etc.
