We are proud to be at the forefront of projects that contribute to the resilience of our communities and infrastructure.The RoleTake the lead onsite across a variety of projects to ensure engineering compliance, quality, financial and environmental performance are achieved.Your responsibilities will include: Ensure project objectives align with Tender and Quality Plans. Manage resources, subcontractors, suppliers, and material ordering for efficiency. Provide weekly progress reports, update programs, and assist with variations and claims. Act as a liaison between Mills Albert, Engineers, Principals, and Clients. Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards. Monitor costs, forecast completions, and ensure timely closure of work packages. Support tendering and maintain up-to-date "As Built" records.To be successful:SkillsThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record on similar civil construction projects such as climate resilience, Rail and Civil Infrastructure. You will bring strong leadership and project ownership skills, along with the following:An understanding of NZS 3910 and project management standardsPrevious experience in managing similar projectsA relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent experienceStrong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to mentor and develop teamsExcellent planning and organisation skillsAbility to identify variations and have input into pricingExperience managing client relationshipsSound knowledge of HSEQ legislative requirementsA Full NZ Class 1 Driver's licenseResidency in New Zealand (Please note: We are not an accredited employer)Why Join Us?BenefitsAt Mills Albert, we value wellness, continuous learning, and professional development.
