Project Engineer

The Project Engineer (Fit-Out) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing interior fit-out projects from concept to completion. This role ensures technical accuracy, quality compliance, and timely delivery of works while supporting the project manager and liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & CoordinationReview project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.Assist in preparing project schedules, material take-offs, and cost estimates.Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure project readiness.2. Site ExecutionSupervise daily site activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and quality standards.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site workforce.Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.3. Technical & Engineering SupportResolve technical issues related to architectural, civil, MEP, and joinery works.Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.Ensure proper installation of fit-out elements such as partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, and MEP fixtures.4. Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all works adhere to industry standards, local regulations, and client requirements.Support QA/QC processes, including material inspection requests (MIR) and work inspection requests (WIR).Maintain proper documentation for approvals and inspections.5. Communication & ReportingPrepare daily/weekly progress reports and update project management on site status.Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders for approvals and coordination.Highlight risks, delays, or resource requirements in a timely manner.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.Minimum 2–5 years of experience in interior fit-out, joinery, or construction.Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishing works, and MEP coordination.Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling tools.Excellent communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks on fast-track projects.
