Our team thrives on solving complex problems, working collaboratively, and delivering solutions that endure.We now have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Defence engineering team and play a key role in the introduction of new capability into service.About the RoleAs a Project Engineer at Integrent, you will represent Defence in ensuring that new mission and support systems are designed, tested, and accepted to the highest standard. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering activities across the capability life cycle, ensuring the delivered system is safe, effective and fit for purpose.This role involves working closely with Commonwealth representatives, OEMs, SPOs, user communities and test agencies to deliver integrated, supportable and mission-ready outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Represent Defence in the acceptance of mission and support systems for major capability acquisitions.Lead multidisciplinary technical teams in the design and development of complex support systems.Coordinate and engage with stakeholders across the Capability Life Cycle to ensure the system meets operational, technical and sustainment requirements.Plan and execute Test and Evaluation activities in accordance with Defence T&E frameworks and processes.Develop functional and performance specifications aligned with Operational Concept Documents, user needs and mission profiles.Conduct engineering reviews, assessments and risk analysis to support technical assurance and acceptance.Provide authoritative engineering advice to support Defence decision making throughout acquisition.What You’ll BringExperience in systems engineering or project engineering within Defence acquisition or sustainment programs.Strong understanding of complex system integration, verification and validation and technical assurance.Strong understanding of Integrated Product Support (IPS) within the Defence environment.Ability to lead technical teams and manage engineering activities across multiple stakeholders.Working knowledge of Defence capability frameworks, Test and Evaluation procedures and requirements engineering.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across diverse technical groups.A proactive, structured and outcomes-oriented approach to engineering delivery.Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
