Project Engineer (Level 2–3 Technician / Solutions Engineer)Location: Bogotá, Colombia (Remote)Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PSTSalary: 10-12 M COPJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with project coordination and client management skills. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical execution and leadership—perfect for a Level 2–3 technician or solutions engineer who enjoys solving complex IT challenges while managing multiple client projects.The Technical Project Manager will oversee 5–10 concurrent IT and cloud projects, serve as a technical escalation point, and coordinate with engineers and dispatchers to ensure smooth delivery. You’ll work closely with clients through regular video calls, managing scope, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, can bridge the gap between technology and communication, and is passionate about driving operational excellence through automation and modern tools.Essential FunctionsLead and manage multiple IT and infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues in servers, networking, and Microsoft 365 environments.Perform hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment of IT systems.Design and implement solutions across cloud, network, and server infrastructures.Oversee and guide a Project Engineer and coordinate with technical and support teams globally.Conduct weekly video calls and provide clear, proactive client communication and reporting.Track and manage project progress through ConnectWise or equivalent PSA tools.Identify opportunities to streamline operations through automation or AI tools.Maintain accurate project documentation, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.Ensure project delivery aligns with profitability, scope, and customer satisfaction targets.RequirementsMust-Haves4+ years of experience in technical IT roles (preferably within a Managed Service Provider or equivalent).Strong hands-on skills with Microsoft 365 administration, server management, networking, and cloud services.Proven ability to handle technical escalations and resolve advanced troubleshooting issues (Level 2–3).Experience managing multiple IT projects simultaneously, from planning to client delivery.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+/C1).Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and timelines.Experience with ConnectWise, Jira, or similar project tracking and PSA platforms.Client-facing experience with regular reporting, coordination, and stakeholder management.Nice-to-HavesCertifications such as Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), CompTIA Network+/Security+, Project+, or related.Familiarity with cybersecurity tools like Microsoft Defender or SIEM platforms.Experience working with AI or automation tools to enhance project delivery and process efficiency.Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.Previous experience in a Solutions Engineer or Technical Lead role.This role offers the opportunity to combine technical problem-solving with leadership, working closely with international clients and teams.
