Location: Japan – Osaka (Onsite; Relocation Considered Case-by-Case)Work Type: Full-Time, PermanentExperience Required: 5 – 6 YearsCompensation: YEN 8,000,000 – 13,000,000 (plus 20% performance bonus after 13 months)Eligibility: Candidates must already possess the legal right to work in JapanLanguage Requirement: Proficiency in English is required; Japanese language skills are preferred and would be highly advantageous.Job OverviewSeeking a skilled and hands-on Commissioning Engineer to lead and execute commissioning activities for power generation systems across Japan. The role involves managing installation, integration, testing, and system handover of diesel and gas generator sets while ensuring project compliance, performance standards, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for diesel and gas generator systems and integrated power solutions. Oversee installation supervision, on-site execution, and final handover to customers. Conduct testing, system integration, performance verification, and troubleshooting. Lead acceptance tests and validation with clients and internal teams. Act as the primary technical interface between the project team, contractors, and customers. Prepare detailed commissioning documentation, reports, acceptance forms, and technical analyses. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards during commissioning operations. Support resource planning, scheduling, and logistics coordination. Provide feedback on process improvement, documentation, and system optimization. Travel across Japan and occasionally overseas for project commissioning as required.Must-Have QualificationsDegree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning or project execution of diesel/gas generator sets or power systems. Strong technical knowledge of power generation, control systems, and system integration. Proven experience interpreting technical drawings, wiring schematics, and layout diagrams. Demonstrated success in site management, troubleshooting, and client coordination. Familiarity with industry standards and local safety regulations for power projects. Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or above). High sense of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work independently on field assignments.
