Job DescriptionWood is recruiting for a Accountant for our Kuala Belait office in Brunei. The successful candidate will provide business and financial management expertise to regional operations and financial leadership and manages the roll-up of management reporting and budgets/forecasts for the region. Such support will produce accounts that are compliant to Wood policies and procedures and are further compliant to IFRS.Responsibilities Produce a Consolidated Monthly Financial report pack which provides robust commentary to all variances across the business. Report on the supplemental information required for month end reporting through HFM. Support the business by producing a variety of reports and analysis. Such reporting will include, Project reporting and Gross Margin Analysis, detailed backlog analysis, billability analysis and bridges, direct and indirect project reports and other KPI’s that may develop over time. Responsible for the preparation of all budgets and forecasts including validation / challenge of the accuracy of backlog, inputs from BD (CRM Data) and Operations. This will involve working with Operations and Business Development to validate / challenge the information from CRM and assumptions included in the budget and forecasting. Support the client bid process, providing costing information and input into sales pricing. Further provide input on financial terms obtaining input from commercial and contracts where appropriate along with input into the credit worthiness of the customer through the risk assessment process. Assisting the Business Partner in driving sustainable working capital improvements working with service line management, project managers, supply chain and other relevant areas, e.g. Shared services and working capital champion Work with Operations identifying trigger points where tax input is needed and work with our colleagues in tax to find the most compliant and cost effective solution. Ensure accounting systems are updated / compliant with external reporting requirements or find off system solutions to ensure compliance with Local GAAP. Complete FRSA / QSC documents on time, aiming for zero defects each quarter. Identify profit generating initiatives and opportunities that improve financial outcomes. Assist and manage where appropriate audits as directed, ensuring accurate and timely information upon request. Qualifications CPA, Chartered Accountant preferred. 3+ years’ relevant accounting / business experience Good commercial knowledge Good Systems experience – Preferably an ERP system, Oracle preferred Proficient user of Excel, PowerPoint About UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
