With more than 50 years of experience, we specialize in assessing and recruiting Senior to Middle-Level Executives across all sectors.ICAP Executive Search, on behalf of our client, a prominent player in the infrastructure, construction, and renewable energy sectors with a strong presence in both local and international markets, is seeking to recruit a Project Implementation & Development Manager to oversee the delivery of a PV + Battery project at Ready To Build stage in Romania and to support future growth in the local renewables market.Project Implementation & Development Manager - Romania (6064/PIDM/ESS/RO)Role Profile:This role combines technical execution, local coordination, operational management, and business development, ensuring that projects and daily operations run efficiently and comply fully with local regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, locally grounded professional capable of managing projects, contractors, and processes while keeping operations seamless. A proactive doer with curiosity, initiative, and the ambition to grow alongside the business.Key Responsibilities• Supervise EPC and subcontractor work, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.• Act as the company’s main contact with local authorities, utilities, and grid operators.• Manage permits, grid connection processes, and ensure compliance with Romanian and EU requirements.•Oversee operational administration: coordination of documentation, local partners, contracts, and logistics to ensure smooth company operations.•Evaluate and manage subcontractors and suppliers, monitor progress, verify works, and oversee payment and reporting workflows.•Track renewable-energy market trends, identify new opportunities, and support new project bids or partnerships.• Prepare clear progress updates and local insights for international management.Requirements:•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or Energy Economics.•5–10 years’ experience in renewable energy or infrastructure project execution.•Strong knowledge of Romanian permitting, grid connection, and operational frameworks.•Excellent coordination and organizational skills; pragmatic, hands-on approach.•Fluency in Romanian and English (spoken and written).•Comfortable working on-site while effectively coordinating with international teams.•Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with ability to take initiative and drive progress.
