Project Manager - Newbuilding

We are partnering with a reputable international shipping company to hire a Project Manager experienced in Newbuilding to be based in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have experience managing newbuilding projects & drydocking, ideally involving container vessels, though candidates with experience across other vessel types are also welcome to apply.ResponsibilitiesOversee newbuilding projects from planning and design through to delivery.Manage project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication.Conduct technical reviews, audits, and inspections to ensure quality and compliance.Coordinate closely with shipyards, class societies, and internal teams to resolve technical matters.Supervise site teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.Provide regular project progress and cost reports.Requirements:Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.Minimum 5 years' experience managing vessel newbuilds within a shipping or ship management environment.Strong understanding of class and international standards.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Proficient in English and Microsoft Office applications.This is a great opportunity for an experienced marine professional to take on a key project leadership role with a respected global shipping organisation in Malaysia.
