Project Manager – Design & Construction Job PurposeLead, plan, and successfully deliver large-scale design and construction projects from initiation through completion. The Project Manager will ensure that all projects meet defined objectives in terms of scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety, in full compliance with organizational standards and UAE construction regulations. The role requires strong stakeholder coordination, risk management, and leadership to achieve seamless project execution across all stages. Key ResponsibilitiesDrive end-to-end project delivery — from conceptual design through detailed design, construction, and handover — ensuring projects are delivered within approved timelines, budgets, and specifications.Ensure compliance with UAE construction codes and authority requirements, including Dubai Municipality standards and local FLS regulations.Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, ensuring full adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to define scope, allocate responsibilities, and align deliverables with strategic objectives.Identify and manage project risks and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation plans and maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders.Prepare and maintain accurate progress and cost reports, ensuring clarity and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.Implement cost-efficiency strategies and value engineering without compromising design integrity or compliance.Manage document control processes including RFIs, submittals, authority approvals, and final handovers, ensuring complete project closure and documentation.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.Experience:Minimum 10 years of experience managing design and construction projects, ideally within large-scale infrastructure, aviation, or commercial developments.Knowledge & Skills:Proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, and cost control.Strong familiarity with UAE construction laws, permits, and authority processes.Hands-on experience with project management tools and software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.Core CompetenciesStrategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess complex project scenarios, anticipate risks, and develop strategic solutions that align with business goals.Execution and Results Focus: Strong commitment to achieving targets on time, within scope, and at the highest quality standards.Resilience and Drive: Demonstrates persistence and adaptability under pressure, maintaining focus on outcomes despite challenges.Team Engagement: Fosters collaboration, motivates cross-functional teams, and ensures effective communication among all stakeholders.Leadership and Direction: Provides clear guidance, ensures accountability, and supports professional growth within the project team.Business Awareness: Understands the financial, operational, and organizational implications of project decisions and aligns execution accordingly.
