This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a background in design, construction, or interiors who thrives on managing projects from conception through to completion. The Role As a Project Manager at Grid Thirteen, you’ll play a pivotal role bridging the gap between our design team, clients, and installation partners. You’ll manage the end-to-end delivery of bespoke interior and kitchen projects, from pre-manufacture and planning through to on-site installation and final handover, ensuring every project is completed to the highest standards of quality, on time and on budget.This position requires a strong technical understanding of design and installation processes, exceptional organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.Key Responsibilities Project Planning & CoordinationTake full ownership of projects following handover from the design team.Plan and scope each project, managing all stages from concept to completion.Coordinate schedules with designers, installers, contractors, and suppliers.Oversee ordering, delivery, and installation of furniture, appliances, and materials.Attend technical handover supplier meetings, responsible for checking and sign off all product ordersPrepare and issue detailed schedules of works to all relevant parties.Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining clear, professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.Develop a deep understanding of client requirements, ensuring expectations are met and any variations are managed transparently.Attend pre-start, pre-fit, and sign-off meetings.Manage post-installation remedials, documentation, and project sign-offs.Technical & Site ManagementConduct site surveys and review M&E information to ensure design feasibility.Oversee installations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.Recruit, coordinate, and support subcontract installation teams.Implement and monitor all necessary Health & Safety measures, including risk assessments.Conduct site visits to review progress and resolve on-site challenges proactively.Performance & Continuous ImprovementTrack and improve installation KPIs and overall project performance.Maintain accurate documentation, project reports, and status updates.Drive continuous improvement in installation processes, communication, and SOPs.Provide technical support to design & installation teams, including product training where required. Skills & QualificationsProven experience in project management within furniture and kitchen design, interior design, or construction.Strong knowledge of design processes, installation workflows, and materials.Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal and client-facing skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and general project management tools. Experience in AutoCAD preferred.Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and plans.Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and compliance standards.Full UK driving licence (required due to travel). Desirable:Formal Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).CSCS or SSSTS certification.Experience in field-based installation or contracts management.Background in furniture, kitchen, or interior fit-out industries.What We OfferCompetitive salary (commensurate with experience)Company phone and vehicleProject completion bonus for on-time, on-budget delivery22 days’ holiday + statutory holidays (with additional accrual based on service)Comprehensive product training, including European supplier factory visits and trainingOpportunity for career growth within a design-led, innovative environmentAvailabilityWe’re ideally seeking someone to start in November or December to allow for training and onboarding, however this can be discussed and adjusted for the right candidate.
