Immediate need for an experienced Construction Project Manager/Scheduler for downtown Ottawa, up to 120KYour new companyHays Construction & Development is partnered with a well-known and respected ICI General Contractor to recruit a Project Manager with very strong scheduling experience to join their team right away! They are consistently one of Ottawa's top employers in the Construction industry.Your new roleAs the Project Manager, you will be working within a strong team of construction industry professionals to accomplish the key goals of projects. There is an ongoing project that will demand your attention on a day-to-day basis and then more projects to come in the future!As a key member of the on-site team, you’ll provide both technical direction and project management support to ensure the build meets the highest standards of design, quality, budget, and schedule.Your responsibilities will include Scheduling & Planning, you work daily to develop, monitor, and update the project schedule. Additionally, you will ensure tasks are sequenced efficiently and proactively adjust timelines to keep the project on track.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this very important role, you must have at least 5+ years of construction management experience, ideally with large interior fit-up projects. You must have a Canadian government security clearance in place. Ideally, for Secret, Reliability will be considered. You must have a strong background in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction with very strong and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6. Proven ability to manage contracts, subcontracts, and construction teams. Deep understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and quality control.
