Project Manager – Luxembourg – Financial Services Contract Type: Freelance (Contract)Location: Luxembourg (Hybrid with strong on-site presence preferred)Start Date: Ideally January; December start possible for the right candidateProject Duration: Approx. 18 months (initial 3-month contract, extendable to 6 months)Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead both business and IT workstreams for a strategic initiative involving a depository and settlement organization based in the Middle East. The role requires coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders, including managing scope, deliverables, testing phases, and legal documentation.Key Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate business and IT streams of the projectDefine and agree on scope and deliverablesManage testing phases with external parties and customersOversee legal documentation preparationEnsure alignment with internal delivery teams and external stakeholdersReport to director-level stakeholdersRequired Skills & Experience:Approx. 10 years of project management experience gained in the Luxembourg banking industryStrong soft skills and stakeholder management, especially with senior leadershipExcellent communication skills; native English speaker preferred due to team language dynamicsBackground in financial services, settlement / custodianship, Familiarity with SWIFT and Connectivity logic is a plus Experience managing multiple medium-scale projects
