The company is able to offer best-in-class launch services to commercial satellite operators, institutions, space agencies and national and international governmental entities.Mission As the Project Manager for PLD Space, your mission is to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the company’s projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end management of PLD Space’s projects from initiation to closure, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and other departments to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.Develop project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer expectations.Monitor project progress, identify issues and risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners, ensuring transparency and alignment.Facilitate effective team meetings, reviews, and decision-making processes to foster collaboration and drive results.Coordinate with external vendors, subcontractors, and partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services in accordance with project requirements.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and quality management systems throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare and present project reports, presentations, and documentation to senior management and key stakeholders.Generate documentation for formal program development reviews.Provide high-level and low-level feedback for MIURA 5 program development planning.Necessary RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering, aerospace, or related field, advanced degree preferred.Experience managing complex projects in the aerospace, defense, or technology industries.Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.Desired RequirementsAbility to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.Proven track record of working effectively in multidisciplinary teams and building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and constraints.Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple development projects and priorities.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines and milestones.Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role.Fluency in English language.Competencies DesiredExperience in the space launch or satellite industry, with knowledge of spacecraft design, propulsion systems, or launch operations.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certification processes for aerospace products and systems.Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or relevant professional associations (e.g., AIAA, PMI).Familiarity with space launch systems.Experience with international collaboration projects and working in multicultural environments.Fluency in French language.BenefitsHealth & WellnessPhysiotherapy within our facilities50% discount on your health insuranceYou can sign-up your family members with health insurance at a competitive price.Healthy snacks and lots of fruitFind balance23 days of paid vacation plus December 24th and 31stFlexible work scheduleNever stop learningWe encourage practical learningWe promote professional development through internal mobility and teamworkFocus on your financial futureChildcare flexible contributionsRestaurant ticketsTransport flexible contributionsTraining support ValuesWe have five critical beliefs that guide the way PLD Space is shaping the future of space launch technologies.Teamwork.Hard work.Dynamism.Commitment.Keep it simple.Join us to reinvent how rockets are built!
