Reporting to the Director of Project Management, this role supports the successful delivery of organizational projects across Scouts Canada’s national portfolio, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with strategic priorities, governance standards, and fiscal objectives.With an initial focus on the Asset Portfolio and Property Strategy, the Project Manager will work collaboratively across departments, with volunteers, and external partners to help implement Scouts Canada’s national Property Portfolio Strategy, driving long-term sustainability and impact. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing the organization’s asset strategy by overseeing property-related projects that improve utilization, strengthen community alignment, and enhance the overall member experience. Through this work, the Project Manager supports the PMO’s mission to embed excellence, transparency, and consistency in how Scouts Canada plans, delivers, and reports on these critical initiativesDuties and Responsibilities:  Portfolio:Project Planning & Delivery: Lead projects from initiation to closure, managing scope, schedule, budget, and risks while coordinating cross-functional teams, documentation, and vendor partnerships to ensure successful delivery. Monitoring & ReportingMonitor progress against milestones, proactively manage risks and changes, and provide clear updates, dashboards, and variance reports to support portfolio reporting and continuous improvement.Collaboration & Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners to ensure strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement, maintaining alignment through effective meetings, documentation, and feedback loops.Governance & ComplianceApply Scouts Canada’s PMO standards and methodologies to ensure consistent, compliant project delivery, maintaining accurate records, liaising with government bodies to meet Municipal, Provincial, and Federal regulations, and supporting post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.Leadership and Management Leadership: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the success of Scouts Canada’s work. Volunteers: Continuously improve partnerships with volunteers and Councils. Deputization: Deputize for your manager during absences.Other duties: As assigned.Qualifications and Job-Specific Competencies:·       Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing projects in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.·       Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or a related discipline.·       PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification (or working toward certification)·       Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).·       Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.·       Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.·       While not required, experience with property, remediation, or asset-related projects would be beneficial·       Project Management: Ensure all projects align with our Project Management framework, taking personal accountability for addressing underperformance in Scope, Timeline or Budget.·       Risk Management – Anticipates and evaluates potential risks, develops effective mitigation strategies, and makes informed decisions to ensure project stability and successful outcomes.·       Financial Acumen – Understands financial principles and applies them to track budgets and forecasts accurately, ensuring sound fiscal management and informed decision-making.·       Change Management – Anticipates and plans for change, engages stakeholders to build commitment, and manages transitions effectively to minimize resistance and achieve sustainable project outcomes.Working Conditions: ·       Works remotely from home·       Traditional working hours with some non-traditional working hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required·       Some overnight travel required.·       PRC (Police Record Check) and VSS (Vulnerable Sector Check) are required before the start date.·       Mandatory training requirement.Physical Demands:Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.Benefits:We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a merchandise discount; an employer-matched retirement plan after one year; extended health, prescription, vision, and dental coverage and more.Ready to Apply?
