Project Manager - SaaS Deployments - Early CareerAbout the roleZONTAL is a Scientific Data Management platform that helps life-science organizations harmonize and govern their research data. As an early-career Delivery Manager, you’ll coordinate small to mid-size customer deployments, align cross-functional teams, and ensure projects land on time, on scope, and on budget. You’ll learn our domain (scientific R&D, data pipelines, lab systems) while practicing disciplined project execution and excellent customer communication.What you’ll doPlan & run software + project deployments: Build and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and status reports across one or more concurrent projects.Own outcomes: Track quality, timeline, and budget; escalate risks early and drive mitigations to resolution.Facilitate delivery: Organize and lead standups, Agile sprint reviews, and backlog grooming for ZONTAL project teams; ensure clear scope and acceptance criteria.Delight customers: Host recurring touch points, capture decisions, manage action items, and drive change-request processes, summarizing and communicating outcomes with transparency.Coordinate resources: Forecast effort, request assignments, and sequence work across Solution Owners, Data Engineers, and Support.Release readiness: Orchestrate release planning, cutover checklists, and go-live communications; support hypercare.Continuously improve: Capture lessons learned; propose process improvements to our delivery playbooks and cross-team communication.Report & communicate: Produce concise weekly updates, executive readouts, and milestone reviews for internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with Customer Success to ensure customer outcomes.Ensure compliance & quality: Follow internal standards and state-of-the-art software delivery practices; contribute to audit-ready documentation.What you bring (must-haves)1–2 years’ experience in SaaS implementation / professional services / technical project coordination (internships and co-ops count).Working knowledge of software delivery fundamentals (Agile basics, SDLC, environments, releases, change control).Strong organization and follow-through: you keep plans current, meetings purposeful, and stakeholders aligned.Excellent communication: clear writing, crisp meeting facilitation, and calm, customer-first demeanor.Comfortable with common tools: Jira (or similar), Confluence, Excel/Sheets, Slack, and presentation tools.Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple priorities.Fluent in English (for all business communications)Bonus points (nice-to-haves)Exposure to life sciences / scientific software (e.g., LIMS, ELN, SDMS) or lab workflows; familiarity with GxP concepts.Basic understanding of data pipelines/ETL, file formats, or cloud fundamentals (AWS preferred).Certifications: CAPM, ScrumMaster, PSM I, or progress toward PMP.Experience coordinating with external partners or systems integrators.How you’ll work hereAgile, iterative delivery wherever possible, with clear definitions of “done”.We use industry-standard tools, such as JIRA/Confluence, Monday, etc.Customer-backed planning: align scope and strategy with customer stakeholders and ZONTAL leadership.Transparency & control: disciplined project controlling, change management, and risk tracking.Collaboration first: frequent syncs with Solution Owners, Data Engineers, Support, and Product.
