Samsung C&T has long been active in the green energy business and continues to explore additional innovative renewable energy solutions.We are seeking an experienced Project Procurement Manager for BESS Project in Sydney, New South Wales.About the RolePlay a lead role in undertaking procurement process for EPC project with excellence in all procurement buying & expediting, logistics, Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) disciplinesManage the day-to-day activities of the project, align with delivery commitments and project plansCoordinate with relevant internal stakeholders, including head office, International Procurement Office (IPO), etcReport to management, including head office, by utilising the system to oversee cost control, procurement progress, expediting status, logistics, inspection, test status, and vendor document statusIdentify potential suppliers and subcontractors based on project requirements and specificationsEvaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors through the RFT and bidding processMonitor supplier and sub-contractor performance, addressing any issues that may ariseCollaborate with the internal development team to identify procurement needs by providing input on procurement requirements and specifications during the development phaseCoordinate with the Engineering team for major equipment specificationsSupport the negotiation process with selected suppliers and subcontractors for favourable termsCollaborate with the cost engineering team to ensure compliance with project cost requirementsSupport the estimating team in preparing cost plans by providing price indications from the procurement databaseReview project requirements and technical specifications to identify procurement needsIssue purchase orders and sub-contracts in accordance with project requirementsResolve any issues or delays related to procurement or delivery of materials and servicesConduct regular expediting activities to track delivery status and resolve any delays or issuesEnsure compliance with relevant procurement laws, regulations, and policiesLiaison with clients to understand their procurement requirementsAbout YouTertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related fieldProven understanding of relevant standards and legislationMinimum 8 years of experience in procurement and expediting of high voltage and medium voltage equipment, i.e., step up transformer, switchgear, SCADAProven experience in leading procurement processes and expediting activitiesExperience from large-scale projects over $300mWorking knowledge of the technical specifications of major electrical equipment required for BESS and Solar projectsProficient in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems)Excellent negotiation and contract management skillsKnowledge of project management and cost control principlesAdvanced attention to detail and accuracyTeam playerSamsung C&T Corporation is committed to building diverse and inclusive teams.
