Our team guarantees that project deliveries meet customer expectations, comply with regulatory standards, and align with Valmet’s high internal quality requirements.We are now looking for a Project Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and support capital and rebuild projects within Valmet Business areas in Global Supply.Preferred location: Jyväskylä (Finland). We are also open to consider other major Valmet locations in Finland Vantaa, Raisio, Tampere or Ulvila.Who is the professional we are looking for?As Quality Assurance Engineer, Your Key Tasks Will IncludeReviewing and understanding the customer contract. Adjusting and communicating the quality related requirements to project parties such as engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site assembly, and also to customer. Proactively detecting and mitigating possible problems or additional requirements in all project phases. Managing nonconformities by coordinating expert evaluations, proposing solutions, and securing approvals. Your expertise will directly impact project success and financial outcomes. With a proactive mindset and cross-disciplinary perspective, you’ll be a valued member of the project team. You’ll collaborate globally with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and authorities.To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering and Automation Engineering. 2-5 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing or inspections of machinery and pressure equipment. Experience in quality assurance within manufacturing or project business. Knowledge of Machinery and Pressure Equipment Directives. Expertise in non-destructive testing (NDT) and welding. Strong communication skills, initiative, and adaptability. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments. Fluency in English (written and spoken). Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 50 days per year).
