The Scheduler/Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules for complex construction or engineering projects. The role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 to build detailed timelines, monitor progress, identify delays, and support project teams with accurate planning and forecasting. The Planner ensures that project timelines are realistic, coordinated, and aligned with overall project objectives.Job HighlightsPaid Hours per Week: 40Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM with 30 minute paid break | New Zealand TimeWork Arrangement: Work from homeContract: Independent ContractorSide note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop baseline schedules for complex projects using Microsoft Project and Primavera (P6).Monitor project progress, update schedules, and analyze variances or delays.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather scheduling data.Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress reports, and critical path analyses (CPA).Identify scheduling risks and recommend mitigation strategies.Maintain accurate schedule revisions, documentation, and reporting.Integrate resource loading, cost loading, and productivity metrics into the schedule (as required).Ensure scheduling alignment with project milestones, contract requirements, and deliverables.Support project planning meetings and provide clear schedule presentations to stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.3–5 years experience as a project scheduler or planner for complex projects.Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.Solid understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling and project controls.Experience in engineering, construction, or industrial projects preferred.Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.Ability to interpret project drawings, specifications, and work breakdown structures (WBS).Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple timelines simultaneously.Independent Contractor PerksHMO Coverage for eligible locationsPermanent work from homeImmediate hiringReminder:Kindly apply directly to the link provided; you will be redirected to BruntWork’s Career Site.
