Since its founding in 1974, we have achieved an outstanding record of growth and profitability.As a Property Underwriter you will underwrite Japanese Property Business for the Belgian Branch and for the Netherlands Branch. This will involve effective servicing of customers, maintenance of existing accounts, selection of new accounts and development of relationship with brokers. You will handle policy alterations, prepare and authorize new business quotations, attend broker meetings, negotiate revised terms where appropriate, inform Team Leader / Head of P&C / CUO of important underwriting developments in your market.Key Responsibilities: Underwrite J Property Business and this in line with the Underwriting guidelines and Authority LevelEnsure close communication with Business Development, Head Office TMNF Colleagues Underwriters, CUO, Head of P&C and Branch ManagerBuild / maintain close relationship with the brokersEnsure timely and accurate reporting (internal and external)Ensure timely and accurate DAMP treatmentEnsure timely and accurate Fac RI treatmentEnsure that the policy wordings are in line with the market practice and with the company requirementEnsure close cooperation with Risk Engineering and ensure follow up of recommendationsBuild adequate technical pricing for each policyRun peer reviews following the guidelineEnsure adequate data quality managementMonitor the underwriting performance and take adequate actions if neededAttend meetings with clients, brokers, and business partnersAttend seminars and coursesFollow & Share market trendsSupervise tasks carried out by the UW AssistantTo manage/complete any special assignment or project assigned by the Branch ManagerTo manage working relationships with internal and external contacts Skills And Competencies Required: Master degree and/or certification in the industryMinimum 5 years of experience in Property UnderwritingFluent in French and Dutch and EnglishStrong Excel skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work autonomously as well as in a team The Tokio Marine HCC Group of Companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
