Job Description

Responsibilities:Analyze tender documents to understand technical and commercial requirements.Gain clarity on construction methods and project scope.Prepare invitation-to-bid packages for suppliers and subcontractors.Evaluate bids both technically and commercially.Assist in compiling bid tabulations and recommend preferred suppliers/subcontractors.Attend client meetings with the Manager to address commercial and technical queries.Provide insights and technical clarifications as required.Prepare a synopsis of tender requirements, including terms such as payment, insurance, liabilities, warranties, liquidated damages, and bonds.Consult with the Legal Advisor to ensure compliance and protect company interests.Collate and prepare technical and commercial proposals aligned with client specifications.Submit proposals to the Manager for review and approval prior to client submission.Prepare technical and commercial documents post-award for handover to the Project Manager, Project Controls, and relevant operational departments.Ensure seamless transition and clarity on project requirements.Attend site visits as necessary to gather relevant project information.Coordinate with estimators and budget controllers to ensure accurate cost estimations and pricing efficiency.Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.Uphold company policies and procedures related to safety and environmental practices.Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the industry.Preferably with tender experience in heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
