Job Description

DescriptionSummaryThe HR Onboarding Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resource department. This position is physically located in Houston, TX and is a hybrid position. Essential FunctionsMaintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Assist with the scanning and transition of any physical files to virtual. Conduct or acquire background checks, drug screens and employee eligibility verifications for new hires. Completes new hire forms post-offer and processes new hires through Paylocity onboarding.

Manage the random drug screen pool through PTC and manage scheduling for employees completing a substance abuse program (SAP). Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. ; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Provides clerical support to the HR department. Other duties as assigned. RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education And Work ExperienceAssociate’s degree in Human Resources or related field required or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
