Your solid interpersonal skills will enable you to collaborate and work effectively and sensitively with a diverse range of clients.Key Responsibilities Conduct independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk Provide psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms and treatment options to individuals Deliver individual or group-based brief, skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience Maintain a high level of knowledge and contemporary understanding of psychopathology, diagnostic classification systems and clinical and psychometric assessment toolsAbout YouThe ideal candidate will demonstrate: Experience in psychological assessment and intervention for adults with mental health conditions, cognitive impairments, or developmental disorders. Knowledge of risk assessment tools and rehabilitation strategies in correctional settings. Strong communication skills for engaging diverse client groups and stakeholders. Ability to apply research-based practices to offender rehabilitation.Requirements General or provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (or eligibility to obtain registration upon commencement). Bachelor's degree (4-year minimum) in Psychology or Behavioural Science. Compliance with National Psychology Board and AHPRA registration standards.
