There are opportunities for hybrid work if located close to Fredericton, New Brunswick.  What You Will DoLuminultra is recruiting an experienced Purchaser to join our dynamic Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity within an innovative and growing organization. Th Purchaser will play a critical role within the team by overseeing on-time and on-budget delivery of inbound procured products, planning production requirements, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring 100% compliance with the delegation of authority policies & procedures, and maintaining strong supplier networks and relationships. This position offers a base salary range of $45,000 to $60,000, depending on experience.  We welcome candidates with a variety of experience levels who are ready to learn, grow, and make an impact – even if this role is not a perfect fit, we encourage you to apply as we may have new opportunities open as we expand the team.  The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, detail-oriented, and highly dependable individual who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. In this role, the Purchaser will have key responsibilities, such as: Oversee on-time and on-budget delivery of inbound procured products including the matching of goods received and paid with purchase orders for all goods ordered. Project production requirements and maintain inventory levels per sales forecasts to balance impact on cash flow and minimize variances. Lead the development & implementation of procurement processes to be fully integrated with the company's QMS and ERP systems, and consolidate all company purchasing activities into one centralized procurement services organization. Ensure 100% compliance with company's Delegation of Authority (DoA) policy and procedures. Oversee strong supplier network c/w backup suppliers and routinely negotiate supplier contracts to ensure company is not competitively disadvantaged. Maintain strong relationships with internal customers (e.g. production, sales). Drive supplier quality programs and score cards to achieve zero NCR's on procured products. Analyze company’s purchasing trends to develop and implement cost reduction strategies involving cross functional teams to achieve year-over-year cost reduction goals. Meet and exceed operating budgets and cost-of-goods sold targets. Administrative functions associated with day-to-day operations tasks.Data entry and manipulation to support purchasing, production, warehouse management, fulfillment and other related functions.Drive capacity-building activities to improve throughput and profitability.Coordinate, participate and/or assist with improvement projects and activities as directed.Maintain, organize, and store company files and records. Who You AreYou are an adaptable, resourceful, and proactive problem-solver eager to join a growing team. Additionally, you bring skills and experience such as: Bachelors degree or diploma in business, supply chain, or related field; or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and education. 5+ years experience in a similar purchasing role.Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy. Team player with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with ability to take a proactive approach to addressing challenges and improving processes. Experience using Oracle ERP, an asset.  Why Join LuminUltra?LuminUltra has a culture that values communication, collaboration, development, work-life balance, flexibility, and employee recognition.
