You will manage the complete purchasing cycle—from analyzing replenishment needs and placing orders to monitoring deliveries and managing supplier relationships. Your role is critical in minimizing material shortages, optimizing stock levels, and driving process improvements that enhance our supply chain efficiency.Key Responsibilities Analyze and review replenishment needs and purchasing parameters, place purchase orders to suppliers, and ensure continuous supply to and between our supply units, aiming to minimize material shortages and optimize stock levels.Ensure delivery confirmations, monitor deliveries, proactively prevent material shortages, re-plan orders as needed, and communicate with relevant parties.Work closely with suppliers to plan deliveries and find solutions to delivery deviations, escalating cases to the sourcing manager when necessary.Adjust forecasts for planned increases or decreases in demand, such as during vacation periods or product ramp-ups.Drive parameter improvements to optimize supply, such as EOQ vs MOQ, safety stock, inventory value, and maintenance of item and supplier master data.Track and report on key KPIs such as suppliers' On Time Delivery, quality claims, and stock levels.Prepare data and participate in supplier follow-up meetings, business reviews, and supplier evaluation meetings.Plan, place, and follow up on manufacturing orders in collaboration with the European Supply Unit.Review and approve supplier invoices.Support sourcing managers in operational tasks such as demand analysis, master data maintenance, order placement, and, if needed, tactical purchasing assignments such as RFQs for non-key suppliers/cases and compliance activities.Drive and support process improvements and the implementation of tools and methods within the procurement team and cross-functionally.Experience and Education:Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar purchasing role, handling direct material replenishment in a manufacturing company.A university degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or an equivalent field.Experience in product preparation, MO planning, or production planning is a strong merit.Key Competencies:Good command of English, both spoken and written.Analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and present data to support decisions and strategies.Structured and solution-oriented approach.Ability to multitask and drive initiatives independently.Strong relationship-building skills.Skilled user of Microsoft Office.Experienced and skilled in working with ERP systems.This is what our employees say about us "At Piab, I have the chance to leave my own footprint.
