Job Description
As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the full spectrum of purchasing functions such as to negotiate deals with potential vendors.Responsibilities Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and manufacturers to secure the best pricing for productsSupport order consolidation and processing to maintain smooth and efficient workflowsCoordinate between the sourcing team and shipping department to ensure timely product deliveryVerify product deliveries against issued purchase orders (POs) and resolve any discrepancies with vendorsEvaluate and select vendors based on a thorough selection process, including pricing and quality criteriaConduct vendor negotiations to secure favourable pricing and termsStay updated on market trends through regular research, focus on purchasing trends to inform decisionsJob Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelStrong sense of urgency with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyExcellent coordination skills to work seamlessly with various departments, managing timelines and prioritizing tasks based on company needsStrong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to foster good relationships with stakeholders and internal customersKeen attention to detail with a careful and precise work approachEffective team player with a commitment to integrity and positive attitudePreferred availability to meet the demands of the roleOutgoing personality with a vibrant personal styleSense of fashion and a passion for the fashion industry
