IntroductionWe’re looking for a Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist to take ownership of how Wellis sources, purchases, and manages everything from pharmaceuticals, packaging materials and other supplies needed to operate smoothly.You’ll be responsible for negotiating deals, setting up supplier partnerships, and ensuring that every step of our supply chain — from sourcing to delivery — runs smoothly and efficiently.This is a key role for someone who combines commercial acumen with operational precision, and who’s excited about helping build the supply chain of one of Europe’s fastest-growing healthtech companies.About WellisWellis is a young, fast-moving healthtech scale-up with a clear mission: combine medical expertise, technology, and data to make healthcare smarter, more efficient, and more personal.We started only 2 years ago, but experienced amazing traction and success leading us to the point where we are now creating structures, expanding teams with top talent, and setting up our product for growth.We’re focused on lowering the barriers to care, especially for health concerns people don’t always feel comfortable seeking help for.Our treatment portfolio is expanding rapidly, and our ambition is to build long-term, digital-first solutions that support people across different stages of their health journey.You’ll join an ambitious, international team where ownership is encouraged, collaboration is key, and impact is visible from day one.We’re opening our new office in Rotterdam this year, where the team will meet 1–2 days per week to brainstorm, build, and grow together.About The RoleAs a Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll manage everything that ensures the right products are available at the right time — at the best possible conditions.You’ll work closely with our pharmacy, operations, and finance teams to source and purchase medication, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize our end-to-end purchasing process.This role requires both a strategic mindset and hands-on execution. You’ll dive into data, streamline processes, and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, and reliability across our supply chain.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of the purchasing process for all medical and pharmaceutical products.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners.Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and long-term agreements to secure competitive deals.Manage stock levels, forecasts, and replenishment in coordination with the pharmacy and logistics teams.Analyze supply chain performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize logistics, warehousing, and transportation of our purchased products. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.Support the implementation of systems and processes that make the supply chain more scalable.A Week in the LifeMonday – Review stock and supplier performance reports, identify priorities for the week.Tuesday – Negotiate with suppliers on pricing or delivery schedules, update purchase orders.Wednesday – Collaborate with logistics and pharmacy teams to forecast future needs.Thursday – Analyze data, review logistics KPIs, and suggest improvements to processes.Friday – Prepare performance summaries for leadership and align on next week’s priorities.Who You Are3–5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement.Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FMCG sector is a strong plus.Skilled negotiator with an eye for commercial opportunity.Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations (purchasing, logistics, inventory).Data-driven and comfortable working with Excel or ERP systems.Organized, reliable, and proactive in finding solutions.Fluent in English (Dutch or German is a plus).Based in the Randstad area, able to work from our Rotterdam office 1–2 days per week.What We OfferA key role in building and optimizing the Wellis supply chain.Development opportunities into an international scope as soon as we open new countries.
