We’re now looking for a Backend Developer to help build and scale the core of our platform.The RoleAs a Backend Developer, you’ll design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure powering Hirz.ai. You’ll work with a modern stack and have significant influence over architecture, scalability, and product direction.This is your chance to build an AI-driven platform from scratch and solve real-world hiring challenges in a high-growth startup environment.What You’ll DoBuild the Core: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic/SQLModel.Own the Data: Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases — schema design (Alembic), complex queries, and ORM handling (SQLAlchemy/SQLModel).AI Pipelines: Develop async pipelines for CV parsing, LLM integrations, and video transcription with AWS Transcribe.Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure (Cognito, S3, RDS, SQS) with Terraform and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.Product Lifecycle: Participate in product design, architecture, deployment, and continuous improvement.Who You AreStrong experience in Python and backend frameworks like FastAPI.Solid grasp of PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and async programming.Experience with AWS and Terraform (or similar IaC tools).Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude Code, Gemini Code Assist, etc.) to speed up development.Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, JWTs is a plus.Startup mindset — you like moving fast, owning problems, and shipping clean solutions.Why Join UsBuild a product with massive impact on how companies hire globally.Work with cutting-edge AI tech.Join a small, high-performing team where your code actually matters.100% remote-first culture with autonomy and ownership.
