Join Hazeldenes.12-month full-time temp role – maternity leave coverKey role in product quality and microbiological testingWork closely with QA Manager and MicrobiologistAbout The RoleWe’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented team member to join the Quality Assurance team as a QA Lab Technician on a 12-month maternity leave cover. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in food laboratory operations and play a key part in ensuring Hazeldenes continues to deliver products of the highest quality and safety.Working alongside the QA Manager, Microbiologist, and other QA staff, you’ll be responsible for microbiological and sensory testing, product monitoring, and supporting compliance with all quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare media and perform microbiological testing of finished products, in-process samples, and environmental swabs.Conduct sensory evaluations and shelf-life testing as required.Receive, process, and accurately label samples for testing.Monitor product performance from raw material receival to load-out, ensuring compliance with specifications.Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised laboratory environment.Record results accurately, complete documentation, and assist with data entry and trend reporting.Follow all Quality and OH&S systems, promptly reporting any issues or hazards.What We’re Looking ForExperience or interest in food or microbiological testing.High attention to detail, accuracy, and safety awareness.Good communication and teamwork skills.Reliable and proactive, with flexibility for early starts (including 2:30 am rotational starts) when required.Basic computer and data entry skills.What We OfferA 12-month full-time opportunity to develop your QA and laboratory skills.Attractive remuneration based on skills and experienceOn-the-job training and exposure to food safety and quality systems.Supportive team culture and professional development opportunities.The chance to make a real contribution to product quality and safety.If you’re ready to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team and contribute to a proudly Australian success story, we’d love to hear from you.
