Job DescriptionJob Summary:We are looking for a QA Data Lead Tester to lead testing efforts across data-centric projects including data pipelines, data migration, reporting, analytics, and data governance initiatives. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, leading data testing teams, and ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with business requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead QA activities across data projects, including test planning, execution, defect management, and reportingDevelop and implement test strategies for ETL processes, data pipelines, data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence systemsDesign and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts focused on data quality, accuracy, completeness, transformation logic, and performancePerform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems using SQL and other query languagesCollaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and developers to understand data flows and define test requirementsOversee data migration testing and regression testing efforts to ensure consistency and accuracy in large-scale datasetsDefine and enforce data testing best practices, standards, and methodologiesManage and mentor a team of data testers; assign tasks, review work, and support their professional developmentIdentify data quality issues and coordinate with the data engineering team for resolutionTrack and report test progress, risks, and issues to stakeholdersParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequired Skills And QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldStrong experience in software quality assurance with a minimum of 3 years leading QA in data-focused projectsStrong expertise in SQL for data validation, profiling, and reconciliationExperience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage) and modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery)Solid understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipeline architecturesFamiliarity with data visualization/reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik for dashboard testingExperience with test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, or Azure DevOpsKnowledge of test automation frameworks is a plus (e.g., PyTest, dbFit, Selenium with SQL)Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in testing cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)Exposure to data governance, data cataloging, and data lineage tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Purview)Certification in ISTQB or equivalent QA certificationsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD pipelinesAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
