Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with a strong focus on automation testing to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites using Playwright for UI testing and Java for API testing. While manual testing will still be part of the role, your expertise in automation will be key to ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and performance. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers in an Agile environment to drive continuous improvement in our testing practices and product quality.What You'll Be DoingPerform detailed manual testing of web applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance meet requirements.Analyze product requirements and design effective test cases, test plans, and test data.Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.Participate in sprint planning and Agile ceremonies as an active QA team member.Where relevant, contribute to building or maintaining automated test scriptsValidate bug fixes and perform regression testing on new releases.Provide feedback on UI/UX and help improve the overall user experience from a quality perspective.Job RequirementsWho We're Looking For2+ years of experience in automation testing of web-based applications and API test.Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Experience creating test cases, executing tests, and documenting results.Ability to think critically and analytically when troubleshooting issues.Familiarity with bug tracking and test case management tools.Preferred / AdvantageousExperience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar end-to-end automation tools.Basic scripting or coding skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript.Experience testing across multiple browsers and responsive designs.ISTQB certification or other relevant QA training.Who You AreDetail-oriented with a passion for quality and user experience.Comfortable communicating in cross-functional teams and advocating for quality.Quick learner who adapts well to new tools and workflows.Collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.What We OfferOur roles offer more than just a job, you’ll become part of the evoke family!
