This is a Software Quality Engineer role for a Galway squad. Quality isn’t an afterthought here - it’s baked into everything from day one. Think automation, test design, and making things better every sprint.What the job actually isAutomated test solutions will be built across UI and API layers (because manual testing everything is no one’s idea of fun).Developers and analysts will be hounded nicely so features are testable from the start.Test planning and execution for the trickier features will land in your lap.Junior QEs will be mentored so you’re not the only one in the know.CI/CD pipelines will need your fingerprints all over them.Testing practices and tools will be pushed forward - standing still isn’t an option.What you need in your toolkit6+ years of testing and test automation under your belt.Selenium or Playwright (extra brownie points for Playwright).Strong JavaScript/TypeScript or Java skills.API testing chops: Postman, REST-assured, Karate, take your pick.Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.Jira, Xray, or something similar in your past lifeWhat the vibe is Fast-paced, tech-heavy, and allergic to “we’ve always done it this way.” New tools, new ideas, and actual collaboration are the norm.
