QA Engineer

Role Description:This is a full-time hybrid role for a QA Engineer located in Bucharest. The QA Engineer will be responsible for test execution, quality assurance, manual testing, creating and maintaining test cases, and conducting software testing. The QA Engineer will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.Analyze Product / System / Project requirements, obtain clarifications where needed, acquire a goodunderstanding of the business logicParticipate in defining the testing approach, methodology, types of testing to ensure above objectives takinginto account the project constraintsCreate Test Specifications for all types of agreed testing (functional, smoke regression, load, stability, etc.)Create automated scripts if needed with help from developmentConfigure the test environment, install the product, create test data, if needed with support from developmentExecute test cases, identify non conformities, document them according to agreed processes in issue trackingsystems, check fixes when availableGenerate test reports (coverage, test results, etc.) and testing statuses (test progress, blocking points,improvements)Mentoring and support for junior QA colleagues, executes reviews for Test Specifications and test automationKnow and conform to all Simartis internal policies (work safety, information confidentiality, communicationpolicy, etc.)OBJECTIVES:• Assess the compliance of the project deliverables, product with the specifications• Assess the if the product is fit for the intended use, considering the specifications, user experience, any relevant IT and Telecom standards and common practices• Communicate accurately and timely to the Product, Project Management and upper management the testing coverage, testing confidence, the severity of any known bugs in order to permit good technical and business decisionsQualifications:Good knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and proceduresFair Linux, Windows OS knowledgeGood scripting knowledgeGood knowledge of relational DBsKnowledge of the Telecom domain, with focus on the areas relevant for Simartis productsGood communication skills, team playerStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsExcellent problem-solving abilitiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferredWHO are SIMartis:Simartis is a team of passionate geeks who joined forces in 2004 around the idea of providing innovative IT solutions for the telco sector.An award-winning and technology-addicted company that helps their own customers stand out from the competition, generate profits from alternative channels, reduce churn efficiently and deliver passion in return.Our care for our customers derives from their trust in us, which is why they have described us as "value-driven", "flexible", "innovative", and "solution-focused".
