Apply today.The Role.The Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Group Quality Manager with the implementation of the Quality Management System across the GMC Portfolio of projects. The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining project quality systems, ensuring compliance with client, regulatory, and internal standards. Working closely with project teams, you will drive a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance, and best practice across all civil and utility works.Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance:Assist with the development and implementation of the GMC Quality Management System. Gain a thorough understanding of the clients Quality Standards, specs and requirements within your area of responsibility. Assist with the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists etc. to ensure QA compliance. Become a subject matter expert of all QA/QC processes and provide guidance and training to project teams on same. Assist with developing Technical Bulletins and Toolbox Talks to raise awareness and communication of QA/QC items. Quality Control:Assist the project team with all QA/QC requirements. Liaise with testing laboratories and compile material test results. Conduct scheduled site visits and audits to ensure quality standards are upheld. Ensure corrective actions are closed out in a timely manner when identified in audits. Ensure quality records are maintained throughout the construction lifecycle. Prepare quality documentation for tender submissions, including Quality Management Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). Assist with the project close out including project Safety Files where required in your area of responsibility. Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organisationThe Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:Relevant Engineering Qualification/ Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.Minimum 2-5 years' experience in Quality or Engineering (civil, utilities, or construction experience highly desirable).Full clean driver's licence essential.Strong technical and analytical skills with proven report writing ability.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong IT proficiency (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint).Become a part of something bigger.
