QA ENGINEERFinancial-Technology IndustryKey ResponsibilitiesDrives the entire testing strategy by understanding requirements, identifying risks and priorities, defining clear scope and effort, leading planning independently or with a team, and ensuring early, effective communication across all stakeholders.Creates, plans, and prioritizes test cases based on risk, business impact, and user experience; sets up the right data and environments; and runs manual and automated tests across UI, API, and backend with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and quality.Logs and tracks defects in JIRA, verifies fixes, and clearly reports progress, risks, and test results to keep the team informed and aligned.Summarizes testing outcomes, confirms release readiness, automates recurring test scenarios, and documents key learnings and improvements for future cycles.RequirementsStrong knowledge of the fintech industry, especially banking systemsProven experience in web application testingHands-on experience applying the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) – including test planning, test design, test execution, and test closure – in Agile or Waterfall environmentsPractical experience in test automation using any framework, and must be willing to self-learn or undergo training in PlaywrightCapable of independently leading testing efforts—can thrive working solo or with minimal guidance, while also managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication skillsNice to Have: Experience with Playwright automationExposure to mobile testing using BrowserStackWork DetailsShift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needsLocation: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further NoticeStatus: Full-time Employment
