Job Description

The QS Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordinating the Site Quantity Surveyor's work to ensure uniform and fair handling of contractual matters related to the main contract or subcontracts.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCOMMERCIAL Review of contract and sub-contracts prior to commencement of work. Advice QS Manager, Contracts Manager and Project Manager on contractual obligations and procedures relating to the main contract or the subcontracts. Supervise the work of Site QS and Site Cost Control. Verify that the QS documentation is in line with the Contract Requirements. Ensuring that all requirements and needs as stipulated in tenders are matched and fulfilled timely and accurately. Work closely with the site support team to ensure the scope of work is executed in accordance with the main contract drawings and specifications. Assess the value of work and certify the payment for organization on an interim basis. Monitor the cash flow (planned vs actual) and provide cost at completion. Evaluate the cause of effect of the event giving rise to a claim. Demonstrates organization’s entitlement of a claim and will also prepare a defense strategy. Advise on the dispute avoidance strategy by advising client/management of early discussions with the project team and shortening the issues before a dispute arises. Identifying and weighing up commercial risks. Liaised with the Project Director and Project Manager on method of work, cost budgeting, and analysis for post contract matters.REPORTS Submit reports as required and as needed by management. Review and check Project Cost Report Regularly report to client.Other Duties Comply with the Company Rules and Regulations and Department’s Policies, Guidelines, and Procedures. Perform other job-related tasks as may be directed by superior and key officers of the company from time to time. Represent the company in meeting with the clients Provide back-up relief for other team members and perform ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to provide support to the department and the Company.Qualifications College Graduate of Civil Engineering or Architecture Preferably licensed Civil Engineer/Architect Preferably 6 to 8 years' of relevant experience in supervisory position. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure to meet project requirements. Knowledgeable in PlanSwift Software Willing to be assigned in project site or head office Willing to start immediately
