Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit Quality and Product Management Specialist for our Shared Service Centre. This position will be based in our beautiful offices in New Belgrade.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Supporting in developing, maintaining, expanding, and documenting a Quality Management system based on the international standards and special requirements of gategroup.Monitor and maintain complete compliance with IFS Broker standard.Coordination and preparation for external audits related to Organic and IFS Broker standards.Conducting and regularly updating supplier risk assessments, with close collaboration and alignment with the Category Management department, in order to control suppliers’ performancesParticipating in the planning and execution of product sampling in line with internal risk assessments, including selection of newly sourced, high-risk, or food fraud sensitive products; coordinating ordering; preparing and labeling samples for external laboratory and filling out Ordering Submission Form through the Eurofins portal.Coordinating the delivery of samples to the Supply Chain location for “Check Against Process” control, including photographing received products for documentation and traceability purposes.Recognizing and highlighting quality and food fraud risks and taking corrective action if necessary.Leading the end-to-end Shelf-Life Extension (SLE) process by assessing product eligibility based on quality, and compliance criteria; coordinating with suppliers, laboratories, and warehouse teams; overseeing relabeling activities and ensuring timely execution.Conducting annual food safety trainings for the Supply Chain team; updating the training program to address knowledge gaps and improve team competencies.Tracking supplier accreditations and conducting supplier assessments in Supplier Management System.Conducting supplier audits and managing corrective actions.Review and release of suppliers’ specifications in electronical database system according to requirements of Supply Chain, Law and/or Customer.Resolving customer complaints related to product quality; Keeping records of customer complaints, defining corrective and preventive measures; Reporting on the detected root causes and evaluation of the effectiveness of the implemented measures.Experience working with or developing nutrition menus Work cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, and food safety teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.Independently managing specific regulatory requirements, supporting implementation of new regulations, and providing expert guidance on product assessments and microbiology.Actively contributing to projects and initiatives based on Quality Manager directives.Education:University degree in Food Science, Food Technology, , Microbiology, Nutrition Science, Dietetics or a related fieldCompleted training courses in food safety standards and/ or conducting supplier AuditsWork experience:Experience in quality or product management within the food industryCompetent in microbiology, food safety, nutritionist and/or supply chainKnowledge of IFS Broker or other GFSI-recognized standards (e.g. BRC, IFS Food, ISO 22000)Performed on-site supplier audits and inspectionsStrong understanding of nutritional composition of food (e.g. sodium content, caloric balance, allergens) and ability to advise on improvements for specific dietary requirements (e.g. low salt, low sugar, high protein)Technical / Language Skills:Microsoft Office advanced level (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including creating reports, PivotTables, and dashboards for data analysis and visualizationFluent in English (written and spoken)German language as addition language would be a plusCore Competencies Required:Achievement OrientationOrganizational SkillsStrong IntegrityDeductive and analytical abilitiesCustomer OrientationQuality-oriented mindsetCooperation and teamworkIndependent and confidentOpen attitude for an international working environmentPlease note that candidates must have the right to live and work in Serbia.
