Quality Assurance Automation Lead

About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled QA Lead (Automation) to oversee the testing strategy, automation framework, and quality assurance processes for our payment solutions platform. The ideal candidate will lead a team of QA engineers to ensure seamless payment processing, transaction reliability, and compliance with industry standards.You will work closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to build robust automation pipelines that enhance product quality and accelerate release cycles.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual and automation).Design and implement test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API layers.Define and manage the testing strategy for payment systems, ensuring coverage of functional, regression, performance, and security testing.Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.Oversee end-to-end testing for payment flows, including card transactions, wallets, refunds, settlements, and reconciliation.Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, data security, and regulatory standards.Analyze defects and test results to drive quality improvements and reduce release risks.Participate in release readiness reviews, risk assessments, and quality sign-offs.Implement metrics and reporting to track testing efficiency and quality KPIs.Qualifications & Requirements:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience:6–10 years of experience in software testing, including 3+ years in a lead or senior automation role.Strong background in payment systems, fintech, or banking applications.Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as:Selenium, Cypress, Appium, RestAssured, or Playwright.API testing using Postman or ReadyAPI.Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.Knowledge of SQL, payment gateways, and microservices testing.Soft Skills:Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Attention to detail with a commitment to quality.Effective communication and stakeholder management.Preferred Certifications (a plus):ISTQB Certified Test Manager or Advanced LevelCertified Scrum Master (CSM)AWS or Azure Cloud Certification (for testing in cloud environments)
