Job Title : Quality Engineer (Data/Digital Analytics)Location: DublinEmployment Type: Full-timeRole SummaryWe are seeking a Data Quality Engineer to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of digital data across our platforms. You will play a key role in validating data collection, analytics implementations, and digital performance metrics to support business decisions. This role bridges data engineering, QA and analytics, ensuring high-quality data flows from tracking implementation to reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesValidate web and app analytics tracking (e.g. events, tags, pixels, conversions).Test and troubleshoot data collection pipelines using tools like Google Tag Manager, Tealium or Adobe Launch.Create and execute QA test plans for analytics implementations during releases.Monitor data quality and integrity across digital platforms, identifying gaps or discrepancies. Respond quickly to raise and address any quality issues.Review and test client-side data collection implementations to validate that events, payloads, and parameters are captured correctlyDebug tracking issues using developer tools, network logs and tag debugging tools.Collaborate with Developers, Data Engineers and Digital Analysts to ensure measurement frameworks are accurately implemented.Perform UAT for analytics deployments and track defects to resolution.Implement data validation scripts using SQL, Python or BigQuery (advantageous).Document tagging specifications and maintain tracking documentation.Support A/B testing QA and conversion tracking validation.Ensure compliance with GDPR, cookie consent & data privacy standards.Required ExperienceA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or related technical field3–5 years in analytics QA, digital analytics, QA engineering or data validation.You have experience with application data debugging, analysing HTTP requests (using tools like Charles Proxy, Fiddler) and logs to identify data quality issues.Hands-on experience with at least one analytics platform:Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude.Experience with Tag Management Systems (TMS):Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe Launch.Familiarity with debugging tools:Chrome DevTools, network tab, GA4 Debug View, Tag Assistant, Charles Proxy.Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, cookies and data layers.Experience with data validation using SQL or BI tools (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Looker, Tableau or Power BI).Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with Data Governance frameworks and best practices including GDPR rules.Experience with test automation frameworks.Scripting skills (Python or JavaScript) a plus.Exposure to CI/CD and automation framework for analytics testing (e.g. Selenium, Cypress).
