Position Overview:As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects maintain timely test plans and that tasks are promptly updated after testing. You will oversee the resolution of failed tasks and confirm that all roadmap items are supported by complete test cases and plans. In addition, you will guide the development and training of QA team members to strengthen the consistency and reliability of their feedback.You will also manage the maintenance of regression test cases, validate the effectiveness of automation tests, and take on management duties such as performance evaluations, PTO oversight, redundancy planning, and other HR-related responsibilities.Management:Conduct proper evaluations and give feedback to team membersManage PTO and handle redundancy issuesAct as a backup for leading QA team members if neededEnsure all projects have test plans as soon as possible after iteration is done, and new builds are createdUpdate all tasks promptly after testing, minimizing latenciesCreate patches for failed tasks that should be properly addressedConfirm that all tasks from the roadmap have proper test case/plansProvide mentorship and training to QAs across all three projects so that, by the end of Phase 1, each project has at least one or two QAs who can work independentlyUpdate regression test cases in phase 1 to a new phaseEnsure that all automation tests are reliable and properly reviewedResponsibilities:Develop and enforce QA policies, standards, and proceduresOwn QA planning and scope definition for release cycles, including risk assessments and traceabilityEnsure all projects have timely test plans, including functional, regression, and automation coverageConfirm roadmap tasks include adequate QA test cases and validation stepsTrack and update all tasks post-testing to reflect accurate QA outcomesDetecting errors and identifying causes for errors of technical typeKnowledge of entire and complete production and control of the operation in all the phasesKnowledge of Proctorio’s work policies and all production phases in the organization preparing daily, weekly, monthly reports and establishing strong cooperation with the Software Engineering ManagerMaintain QA documentation in alignment with organizational compliance requirementsMaking decisions of classifying the deficient productsPartner with Product, Development, and Operations teams to integrate QA early into the development lifecycleProvide onboarding, training, and mentorship for QA staffMentor QA engineers across all levels and foster a high-performance, feedback-driven quality cultureEvaluate QA member performance using structured feedback processesManage HR functions: PTO approvals, redundancy planning, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans (PIPs)Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learningRequirements:Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatoryAt least 5 years of cumulative software testing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or QA management roleExperience writing test cases, mobile testing and experience in automated tests and automation frameworks is requiredAdvantage understanding of web technologies – HTML/CSS/JavaScriptCreating and maintaining automated tests running in a continuous integration environment is a requiredExpertise in supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring SaaS productsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to align QA goals across technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience leadership in mentoring and growing technical QA team
