Job Description

The role’s prime responsibilities are to:Developing test plans to assist to deliver an internally developed enterprise software platform, which is deployed in Europe and Asia Pacific. Participate as a member of a distributed team across Asia, Pacific and EuropeWork within the Build teams for the successful build and deployment of the platform.Development ResponsibilitiesDeveloping test plans to help deliver the Commercial Risk Eco System within Europe and Australia. Maintaining QA standards and Best Practices and developing Test plans to form an integral part of the delivery methodology.Understand, communicate, and execute on the scope of testing required to meet the needs of the project or desired business capabilities.Supporting and providing guidance to QA teams on test strategies and approaches to ensure high quality outcomes, and act as a point of contact for testing-related queries.Manage the QA team by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress.Collaborating with the test team to create and execute test scenarios that cover all the possible functionalities and requirements of the software application. Assess Observations/Issues raised by the team and log Azure DevOps Tickets wherever required.Evaluate and implement test automation tools and frameworks and promote test automation to increase efficiency and test coverage.Governance & DeliveryTest for and ensure compliance with the company's standard processes and security standards as directed by team management. Work with company's GSS (security) team on any security issuesWork with support teams to build their skills and provide appropriate tools. Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.Extensive experience in testing hands on experience in Software Testing – a good grounding in testing methodologies, testing terminology, scripting techniques, Test reporting and metrics.Experience mentoring, coaching, and guiding a team on good QA practices. Experience in the development and maintenance of test plans, test cases and scenarios, test execution and documenting results.Solid defect tracking and management experience with ability to implement and run Program level Defect Triage between a client and multiple project/scrum teams.Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and work through issues in a fast paced, complex, operational environment.Understanding of change management and the positive role testing can play in enhancing change and business engagement and outcomes.Ability to work independently on multiple initiatives at a time to meet deadlines.DesirablePrior experience working in large enterprise teams & agile scrum sprints.Evidence of being a successful influencer across different teams and cultures. Prior experience of working in the Insurance sector will be highly regarded
