QA Tester (Manual Testing)Reading HQ (Remote – Onsite 1–2 times per month)£55,000–£60,000 Base Salary + Company Benefits & Technical Certification TrainingPermanentSC Clearable RequiredWe’re looking for a detail-driven QA Tester with strong manual testing experience to help ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of complex software solutions. Working as part of a collaborative development and QA function, you’ll play a key role in testing critical systems, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement across multiple projects.Alongside hands-on testing, you’ll have the opportunity to lead QA activities on selected projects - ensuring best practices are followed and that delivery remains smooth, structured, and efficient.What you’ll do:Plan, execute, and document comprehensive manual test cases across varied projects.Lead QA workstreams where required, ensuring high-quality delivery and effective collaboration.Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution, working closely with development teams.Support test planning, strategy discussions, and continuous improvement initiativesContribute to the wider QA function by sharing knowledge, refining processes, and enhancing documentation.Support automation efforts when needed (automation experience desirable but not essential).About you:Proven experience in manual testing within complex or high-availability environments.Ability to lead smaller QA projects or act as the QA point of contact.Strong understanding of SDLC, test methodologies, and defect management tools.SC Clearable - UK residency and eligibility required.Automation knowledge (Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is a bonus but not required.Why join us?Competitive salary (£55–£60k).Reading-based role with remote working and occasional onsite visits (1–2 times per month).Excellent benefits package and career development opportunities.Work on impactful, complex systems with a supportive and technically skilled team.Opportunities to broaden your experience across both manual and automation testing.🌳🌳🌳 Areti Group – Climate positive tech recruitment 🌳🌳🌳 We’re on a mission to put people and the planet before profit, leaving the world in a better place than we found it.
