No sponsorship is available.Atrium Global is supporting a client in the pharmaceutical and biologics industry to secure an experienced QC Analyst to join their microbiology team.Job OverviewThe QC Analyst will support a wide range of microbiology activities linked to Drug Substance and Drug Product operations. This includes environmental monitoring, utility sampling, biological indicator testing, media fill support, HPLC and UV in-process testing, and routine sample processing. The role reports to the QC Microbiology Manager and requires strong attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety standards.RESPONSIBILITIESPerform cleanroom, BSC and isolator batch monitoringConduct utility sampling of water systems and compressed air/gasCarry out in-process testing of critical lot samples using HPLC and UV spectrophotometryManage issuance, receipt and testing of biological indicatorsRead and report environmental monitoring, biological indicator and aseptic qualification resultsReconcile and inspect media fill units and participate in media fillsIdentify microorganisms isolated during testingComplete all laboratory documentation accurately and on timeEnsure compliance with SOPs and registered specificationsContribute to authoring and reviewing laboratory documentationSupport other departments to maintain qualification and production schedulesReview paperwork and reconcile laboratory analysesInvestigate alert or action limit excursions following site proceduresReceive and process drug substance and drug product samplesSupport lean lab and 6S improvement initiativesMaintain high standards of housekeeping and safetyPerform any other duties as assigned by the Microbiology ManagerREQUIREMENTSLevel 8 degree in Microbiology or a related disciplineMinimum 2 years' experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare laboratoryExperience working in cleanrooms using aseptic techniques; isolator experience beneficialHPLC and UV spectrophotometry experience desirableFamiliarity with MODA, Empower, CIMS, LIMS, LES and Veeva Vault is beneficialStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, team based environmentWillingness to work a shift pattern if required
