Job Summary:The Quality Control Chemist is responsible for ensuring that all frozen vegetable products meet company quality standards and comply with national and international food safety regulations. This role involves conducting chemical, physical, and microbiological tests, monitoring processing parameters, and maintaining proper documentation to ensure product integrity from raw material to finished goods.Key Responsibilities:Conduct daily testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished frozen vegetable products.Monitor and record critical control points (CCPs) during production.Perform chemical analysis including moisture content, pH, acidity, pesticide residues (if applicable), and other required parameters.Support microbiological testing and coordinate with the lab team to ensure product safety.Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, GMP, and other relevant food safety standards.Check sanitation and hygiene practices in processing and packaging areas.Calibrate laboratory equipment regularly and maintain calibration records.Maintain proper documentation of all test results and report deviations to the QC Supervisor/QA Manager.Participate in internal audits, supplier audits, and product quality improvement initiatives.Collaborate with production, maintenance, and warehousing teams to resolve quality-related issues.Assist in training operators on quality and food safety procedures.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field.1–3 years of experience in food industry quality control (preferably frozen vegetables or similar products).Good knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and local food safety regulations.Strong analytical and laboratory testing skills.Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Good reporting and documentation skills.Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, data entry systems).
