The role of Quality Control Technician is crucial to maintaining this standard of excellence. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all products meet the rigorous demands of our customers and adhere to industry-leading standards. Working in a dynamic environment, you will be empowered to take initiative and make impactful decisions, with your performance measured by your ability to consistently deliver high-quality results and support long-term success across our manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesWork safely at all times and report any safety concerns as they ariseTake reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, being aware of emergency procedures including the evacuation and fire precaution procedures.Conduct routine daily quality control checks in ceilings and Non-Structural Containment aimed at eliminating defective products reaching the customerDevelop and implement quality control plans for new products and for applicable engineering changesConduct thorough inspections and tests on raw materials and products before, during, after production to ensure compliance with quality requirements.Calibrate and validate measuring, inspection, and testing equipment regularly to maintain accuracy and reliability.Regularly review Ceilings and Non-structural department procedures, assist in En10-90 audits, and perform routine internal audits to ensure up-to-date practices and compliance.Assist the Quality Coordinator in investigating and managing customer and supplier complaints, coordinating cross-functional teams, and preparing reports to resolve quality issues.Conduct traceability and recall tests to ensure product integrity and compliance with quality standards.Assist the manufacturing department as needed and provide shift coverage when necessary.Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the Quality Testing area and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.Any other reasonable duties as and when required and requested. The title of your job does not define or limit your employment.Qualifications, Experience & SkillsEducationEngineering or quality degree or relevant experience in a quality related leadership roleExperienceKnowledge of key Quality standards and systems and their application in practical terms.Experience of compliance management systems.Experience of quality control systems and processes in a manufacturing environment.Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment is preferred, roles with an engineering bias are advantageous.SkillsStructured, self-motivated, and passionate about quality.Demonstrated ability to work in a challenging, result-orientated environment.Work accurately with attention to detail and able to meet strict deadlines.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.PC literate and competent in the MS Office suite.Strong exposure to liaising with members of other departments at all levels to resolve any Quality issues creating a partnership working environment both internally and with key customers.To actively promote Kingspan Tate both internally and externally.Respect the safety and well-being of all colleagues
