We are the leading manufacturer in our field and exclusively supply all of the teams on the Formula 1 grid.We work with some world-famous brands and craft a safety product, meaning quality is of the utmost importance to us.Job RoleAs a Quality Engineer, you will be expected to uphold the highest quality standards during inspection of ATL’s products and supplier products. You will be responsible for raising non-conformances where parts do not meet ATL’s expectation and explaining to technicians any areas where they need to complete re-work.Main DutiesWork with the rest of the Quality department to ensure that all production areas’ quality control requirements are supportedUsing hand metrology equipment to quality control partsUsing CMM machines to measure and report on partsTo produce control plansTo assist the with testing and process development as requiredProduce inspection reports on items requiring First Article InspectionSupporting the Inspection of parts in all departments in process and before despatchDeal with the processing of Internal and Supplier rejects including the use of 5 Whys and 8D reporting where requiredEscalating issues found to the correct party in a timely mannerConduct quality and process spot checks within Engineering Workshop, Moulding & Final Assembly departments as requiredPrepare inspection reports and collate paperwork for customer reporting as requiredConduct internal and supplier audits as requiredAssist with investigation of root cause as and when requiredWork with the rest of the Quality Control team to deliver continual improvement across the departmentUse environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policySeek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectivesOther jobs within your capabilities may be requested from time-to-time including any other role that you possess experience in that the Company may require you to fulfil.Responsibilities & CompetenceExperience completing 8D reportsExperience of BS EN9102 reportingExperience using basic and electronic metrology equipmentExperience completing PPAP submissions is desirable but not essentialInternal and external audit experience is desirable but not essentialAbility to read engineering drawingsAwareness of relevant TS/VDA standards is desirable but not essentialKnowledge of relevant FIA regulations & standards is desirable but not essentialStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent attention to detailJob RequirementsQualification in an engineering discipline (e.g. HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ)Relevant professional experienceExperience of ISO9001 QMSFluent in EnglishPass in GCSE English & Maths as a minimumThe Package33 days’ annual leaveGenerous Pension SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCompany sickness payCycle to Work SchemeHoliday purchase scheme optionRefer a Friend SchemeATL do not offer Tier 2 Sponsorship.
