SummaryThe Quality Inspector’s role is critical for preventing the escape of manufacturing defects and assuring the high level of quality that the customers of ESC demand. They will be responsible managing quality processes, performing in-process and final inspections through the work cell, and utilizing analytical skills to ensure product integrity.Primary Responsibilities:Perform visual inspection of electronic assemblies for conformance to IPC-J-STD-001 class 3Perform review of assembly documentation for completeness and clarityUtilize work instructions provided by manufacturing engineers to collect dataRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in an electronic manufacturing environment, preferably with aerospace/defense contractsKnowledge of ESD control practicesStrong knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specificationsKnowledge of First Article Inspections (FAIs)Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace/defense quality systemsSkilled in using inspection tools (microscope, calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.)Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work independentlyMust be a US citizen or legal permanent residentPreferred Skills / Qualifications: IPC-A-610 CertificationIPC J-STD-001 CertificationUnderstanding of IPC WHMA-A-620 Associate degree in industry related fieldExperience with NASA 8739 and IPC space addendum Location: Van Nuys, CA Rate: Based on level of related experience
